Step 1: Multiparametric Brain MRI

Contrast-enhanced MRI reveals location, size, edema, and mass effect. Advanced sequences (DWI, PWI, MRS) assess cellularity and blood flow.

Step 2: MRI-Guided Stereotactic Biopsy

For deep or eloquent-area tumors where resection carries high risk, frameless navigation obtains tissue diagnosis with millimeter accuracy.

Step 3: Molecular Neuropathology 

NGS and methylation profiling analyze IDH1/2 mutation, MGMT promoter methylation, 1p/19q codeletion, TERT promoter, EGFR amplification, and histone mutations. Directly determines prognosis and targeted therapy eligibility.

Step 4: Functional MRI & Tractography

Maps language, motor, and visual cortices and white matter tracts—preserving function during surgery.
