"When infertility affects a family, women often bear greater pressure," Director Deng Weifen stated. In 2001, she entered the field of assisted reproduction and began studying IVF technology. At the time, IVF was an emerging technology. During her training at the Reproductive Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, she had the privilege of meeting Professor Zhuang Guanglun, renowned as the "Father of Test-Tube Babies" in China and the inaugural President of the Global Chinese Society of Reproductive Medicine. Professor Zhuang became her mentor in assisted reproduction, providing frequent technical guidance, mentoring her through complex procedures, and involving her in discussions on challenging cases, sharing new knowledge and technologies in the field. Director Deng expresses profound gratitude for her mentor's guidance.

In 2015, Director Deng pursued further studies at the Stanford University Reproductive Center in the United States. During this period, she seized every learning opportunity, gaining knowledge not only of cutting-edge international reproductive technologies but also insights into the patient-centered service model in the US, which broadened her perspective for the future operational management of reproductive medicine departments.

Ovarian endometriomas (chocolate cysts) and abnormal endometrium are common causes of female infertility. Abnormal endometrium includes thin endometrium, thick endometrium, and intrauterine fluid, which severely impact embryo implantation. Infections during pregnancy can lead to miscarriage, premature rupture of membranes, and stillbirth. Current treatments for abnormal endometrium vary, and establishing a consistently effective diagnostic and therapeutic protocol remains a key research focus in reproductive medicine. Since 2013, under the guidance of Professor Sun Wei (a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance) and Professor Wang Aiming (former Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Center at the former Navy General Hospital, and doctoral supervisor), Director Deng's team has dedicated efforts to research. Through nearly a decade of clinical practice, they have gradually developed an effective integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine approach for treating abnormal endometrium.
In 2020, she established the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Clinic for Abnormal Endometrium at Hengsheng Hospital. This initiative focuses on developing hysteroscopic cold knife techniques that maximize the protection of endometrial reproductive function, along with optimized perioperative management. Concurrently, it employs integrated TCM and Western medicine methods for endometrial management to enhance the pregnancy potential for patients with abnormal endometrium.

In her over twenty years dedicated to the field of reproductive medicine, Director Deng has led her team in conducting in-depth research on repeated IVF failure, recurrent pregnancy loss with precise miscarriage prevention, and conservative treatment of endometriomas. She has presided over one National Natural Science Foundation project, completed several municipal-level research projects, published 4 SCI articles, and over 60 papers in national and core journals. She has been frequently invited to participate in academic exchanges in the United States, Europe, Australia, Canada, and other countries, and to lecture and present papers at major domestic reproductive forums.

Since joining Shenzhen Hengsheng Hospital in 2020 as the Lead Specialist of the Department of Reproductive Medicine, Director Deng has spearheaded significant transformations within the department. While continuously driving innovation, she has vigorously developed reproductive TCM and reproductive andrology services. She has established specialized outpatient services including Genetic and Embryo Counseling, Integrated TCM-Western Medicine for Abnormal Endometrium, Mild Stimulation Cycles, Reproductive Hysteroscopy, Weight Management, Psychological Counseling, Remote Consultations, and Special & VIP Clinics. Furthermore, she has introduced a series of specialized and advanced technologies such as donor sperm IVF, precise miscarriage prevention for recurrent pregnancy loss, minimal residual sperm freezing, anhydrous alcohol solidification for ovarian endometriomas, non-surgical integrated TCM-Western Medicine treatment for uterine scar diverticula, egg activation, and In Vitro Maturation (IVM). These initiatives provide a superior diagnostic and treatment system for infertility patients, especially those with complex conditions. Currently, Hengsheng Hospital's key technical indicators surpass the national average.
