Previously led a team that cumulatively completed nearly 20,000 IVF oocyte retrieval cycles, resulting in the birth of over ten thousand IVF babies. A pioneer in the development of human assisted reproductive technology in Liuzhou City and the broader North Central Guangxi region.

Professor Wei Jihong previously led her team to achieve many "firsts" in IVF in the North Central Guangxi region, including the first IVF baby, the first ICSI (second generation IVF) baby, and the first frozen-thawed embryo transfer IVF baby. The team cumulatively completed 20,000 IVF oocyte retrieval cycles, resulting in the birth of over ten thousand IVF babies, establishing her as a pioneer in the field of reproductive medicine in the North Central Guangxi region.
