With over 20 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research in neurology, her primary research focuses on cerebrovascular diseases, movement disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases. She has extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating common and refractory neurological conditions, including various cerebrovascular diseases, Parkinson’s disease, cognitive impairment, headaches, and dizziness.
She has engaged in research on the pathogenesis of cerebrovascular diseases for many years and has received the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievements in Chancheng District, Foshan, and the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievements in Foshan. She has been honored with the titles “Outstanding Medical Youth of Foshan” and “Fifth Excellent Doctor in Guangzhou”.
Her research project, “Role of Sodium Channel Subtype Na(v)1.6 in Ischemic Brain Injury” (Project No. 201208105), passed the achievement appraisal by the Foshan Health Bureau in 2013, with results considered domestically and internationally advanced. It was awarded the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievements in Foshan and the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Chancheng District in 2013. Since 2014, she has organized over 20 provincial and municipal continuing education programs. She has published more than 40 papers, including three in SCI-indexed journals, and has participated in compiling four medical books.

Dr. Ren Li delivered a detailed work report at the Quality Control Inspection Meeting for Headache Centers in Guangdong Province. The construction of the headache center has received strong support from hospital leadership. Under the leadership of the Department of Neurology, the headache team follows domestic and international diagnostic and treatment guidelines and expert consensus for various types of headaches, standardizes diagnosis and treatment, actively promotes health education on headache, and popularizes common knowledge on headache prevention and treatment to enhance public awareness and attention.
