    Profile

Graduated from the Department of Clinical Medicine of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1991 and subsequently worked at Foshan First People's Hospital. Beginning in 1998, he undertook advanced studies in cardiology and cardiac pacing & electrophysiology at the Guangdong Provincial Cardiovascular Institute and Foshan First People's Hospital.

He has long been engaged in the interventional treatment of arrhythmias, specializing in catheter radiofrequency ablation for atrial fibrillation and left atrial appendage occlusion. He presided over research projects such as the "Interventional Study on Percutaneous Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion for Embolic Events in Atrial Fibrillation," contributed to the medical monograph "Diagnosis, Treatment, and Interventional Advances in Cardiovascular Diseases," and published over ten papers in core journals. In 2003, he utilized catheter technology to cure over a hundred patients with arrhythmias, receiving the hospital's Outstanding Young Physician Award. In 2023, he led the completion of the mainland's first batch of FARAPULSE pulsed-field ablation procedures, promoting innovation in atrial fibrillation treatment technology.

    Speciality

    · Diagnosis and treatment of various arrhythmias, hypertension, coronary artery disease, and cardiomyopathy.

    · Radiofrequency ablation for atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, including re-ablation for recurrent atrial fibrillation.

    · Left atrial appendage occlusion.

    · Radiofrequency ablation for premature ventricular contractions, ventricular tachycardia, and paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.

    · Ganglionated plexi ablation for vasovagal syncope.

    · Pacemaker implantation.

On June 7, 2025, the Guangdong Provincial Atrial Fibrillation Stroke Prevention and Complex Case Radiofrequency Ablation Seminar was successfully held in Foshan, Guangdong. Professor Tan Haibin from Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital served as the Executive Chairman of this academic event, which brought together nearly forty top cardiovascular experts from Guangdong and other provinces to discuss new advances in atrial fibrillation treatment, focusing on complex mapping and stroke prevention, offering cutting-edge perspectives and in-depth insights for the industry.
