Dr. Yang Chuanhua specializes in comprehensive prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, primarily hypertension (including refractory hypertension and complications such as proteinuria and cardiac hypertrophy), using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He has accumulated extensive experience in the integrated management of various complex cardiovascular conditions, including: persistent angina after interventional stenting or bypass grafting; angina in patients ineligible for stenting; improving ejection fraction (EF) in refractory heart failure; dilated cardiomyopathy; sick sinus syndrome with bradycardia; coronary heart disease; hypotension not sustainably managed by Western medicine; various types of premature beats; and paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
He has presided over more than ten major national and provincial research projects and has undertaken important national healthcare assignments. Recognized as a leading figure in China for TCM prevention and treatment of hypertension, his roles include serving as a Consultation Expert for the 4th and 5th Central Healthcare Committee, Lead Developer of the "TCM Technical Plan for Hypertensive Hierarchical Diagnosis and Treatment" under the national healthcare reform, and Lead Developer of the "Clinical Practice Guideline for Hypertension in Traditional Chinese Medicine" (promulgated).
