    In clinical practice, Director Mo Shan demonstrates exceptional professional capability. She skillfully integrates modern specialized diagnostic methods with internal TCM herbal treatments and external therapies, exhibiting unique insights and extensive experience particularly in treating precocious puberty, growth retardation, and obesity in children and adolescents. TCM external treatment methods such as pediatric tuina (massage), auricular acupuncture, acupoint application therapy, pricking of the Sifeng points (EX-UE10), spine pinching, and acupuncture are masterfully applied by her. These, combined with TCM herbal ointments, have brought hope to numerous children suffering from growth and developmental disorders.

    In scientific research, Director Mo Shan has also achieved remarkable results. She has led and participated in over 10 provincial-level research projects focusing on precocious puberty and growth and developmental diseases in children. Her research on precocious puberty, titled “Behavioral Factors and TCM Pattern Relationships in Girls with ICPP and the Efficacy of Chinese Herbal Medicine Study”, reached domestically advanced levels and was awarded the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by the Foshan Science and Technology Bureau. Additionally, an RRTl project received the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. Auricular acupuncture therapy was awarded the Second Prize for Science and Technology by the Guangdong Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion. The preparation and clinical application of TCM herbal ointments earned the Third Prize for High-Tech Advancement in Foshan. The application of pediatric ointment formulations also obtained one national invention patent. Over 20 of her academic papers have been published in national core journals, providing valuable theoretical support and practical experience in the field of TCM pediatrics for growth and developmental disorders.
