Director Yang Tiecheng leading his team in performing an arteriovenous fistula surgery.

Mr. Li, aged 55, suffered from recurrent fistula stenosis, requiring PTA surgery every 1-3 months, causing immense distress. Director Yang Tiecheng employed a "triple-combination" balloon dilation technique to recanalize the fistula and remove thrombi. The patient experienced no recurrent fistula stenosis or embolic events for over a year post-operation.

Mr. Zhang, aged 70, had diabetes for many years with poor vascular condition and financial constraints, making expensive artificial vascular grafts unaffordable. Director Yang Tiecheng meticulously assessed the patient's vasculature and proposed a phased plan for fistula creation and maturation. This approach not only successfully established a "lifeline" but also achieved millimeter-precise arteriovenous anastomosis, significantly reducing the patient's financial burden.

    His achievements include:

    · High fistula maturation rate (reaching 92%, above the industry average of 85%)

    · Long postoperative vascular patency duration (averaging 16.8 months, significantly exceeding the conventional 12 months)

    · Low surgical complication rate (<3%, meeting international advanced standards)

As more patients were successfully treated, Director Yang Tiecheng's reputation as a "top-tier expert" in vascular access surgery grew, attracting numerous patients who sought his expertise and left satisfied.

However, even more than his fistula surgeries, Director Yang takes greater pride in his capability to rescue patients with acute and critical kidney conditions.

A heroic firefighter sustained blast injuries during a rescue operation, resulting in extensive burns, perforated and ruptured abdominal organs, and multiple organ failure—a critically ill state. After emergency air transfer to NanFang Hospital, an emergency multi-disciplinary surgery was performed. The subsequent challenge was managing the persistent multiple organ failure, including oliguria/anuria lasting over 60 days. Director Yang Tiecheng and his team maintained 24-hour bedside rotations, continuously adjusting the treatment plan based on the patient's vital signs, and ultimately won that difficult battle.
