Professor Zhou Zejian specializes in minimally invasive interventional therapies and multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment for both malignant tumors and a wide range of benign conditions, including arterial stenosis and occlusion, venous stenosis and occlusion, hemangiomas, vascular malformations, varicoceles, uterine fibroids, diabetic foot disease, cysts, abscesses, and other related disorders.
Professor Zhou and his team perform approximately 10,000 interventional procedures each year. Many of their patients have achieved long-term survival of more than 10 years following treatment, with some surviving 20–30 years.
Profile
Professor Zhou Zejian is among the first generation of physicians in China to pioneer the field of interventional radiology. Since 1986, he has been practicing in the Department of Interventional Oncology (Minimally Invasive Intervention) at Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, where he has devoted nearly 40 years to clinical practice, research, and education. He has served as a Chief Physician and Professor at Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital (Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences) for more than 20 years.
Professor Zhou graduated from the Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University, and the Norman Bethune College of Medicine, Jilin University. He has also undertaken academic exchanges and advanced professional traininga in the United States, Europe, Japan, and South Korea, continually integrating international advances in minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment into clinical practice.
