Building a “Three +1” Cooperation Framework for Deep, Value-Driven China-Indonesia Health Industry Synergy

As the China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership continues to deepen, health cooperation has emerged as a vital pillar of mutual benefit – creating a favorable environment for sustained corporate engagement. Meanwhile, Indonesia's large and growing population is fueling robust demand for healthcare services, driving local industrial upgrading and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

As a long-standing practitioner and active contributor to the development of China’s health industry, Fosun Health recognizes Indonesia's immense potential as a strategic hub for the “China+1” model. The company is committed to integrating its proven expertise in healthcare system development, digital health innovation, and proactive health management with Indonesia’s local needs – advancing cooperation from isolated projects toward full-ecosystem co-creation.

Drawing on Fosun Health's industry experience, Mr. Hu proposed a tripartite cooperation framework focused on:

· Health Ecosystem +1 – supporting local health industry development through end-to-end supply chain integration;

· Modern Service Model +1 – leveraging digital innovation to enhance the accessibility and inclusivity of health services;

· MedTech Advancement +1 – strengthening healthcare infrastructure, talent cultivation, and supply chain resilience.

Through this framework, Fosun Health aims to co-develop a more resilient health industry model with local partners – one that better serves communities and contributes to socio-economic development.

Grounding Policy Dialogue in Industry Practice: Advancing High-Quality Development of Regional Health Supply Chains

Looking ahead to the next five to ten years, the global supply chain landscape will continue to undergo optimization and structural realignment. A key focus of this year's conference was how to strengthen the stability, competitiveness, and sustainability of regional health supply chains throughout this transition.

Drawing on Fosun Health's industry experience and observations, Mr. Hu offered several recommendations: he encouraged Indonesia to accelerate the integration of green development and digital technologies, drawing on China’s mature experience in the digitalization and greening of supply chains to promote broader adoption of innovative technologies in healthcare. He also called for further consolidation of ASEAN integration and deeper industrial synergy with China, including the joint development of a China-ASEAN pharmaceutical and medical access corridor. Such collaboration would better facilitate technology spillovers and continuously strengthen local innovation capabilities. In addition, Mr. Hu emphasized the importance of maintaining long-term, stable, and consistent industrial policies. A predictable policy environment is essential for both domestic and international investors, enabling sustained, trust-based cooperation.

A stable and clearly defined policy framework provides reliable, long-term support for efficient supply chain operations, facilitates the optimal allocation and coordination of regional health resources, and enables the organic integration of industrial, service, and talent chains. Ultimately, this will support the development of a more complete, resilient, and sustainable modern health industry ecosystem.

Building the "Greater Bay Area–Indonesia–ASEAN Green Health Corridor" for the Future

As one of China's most concentrated hubs for healthcare resources, innovation capabilities, and international integration, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has accumulated mature experience in high-end medical services, medical research, digital health, and health industry collaboration. Fosun Health has long been strategically positioned across the Yangtze River Delta and the Greater Bay Area, with a global reach. The company has developed a comprehensive operational foundation integrating medical services, specialty capacity building, and international medical collaboration – positioning it to export and adapt regional expertise overseas.

In support of Indonesia's vision to become ASEAN's core green health supply chain hub and a globally recognized international medical tourism destination by 2030, Fosun Health will actively respond to the "Greater Bay Area–Indonesia–ASEAN Green Health Corridor" initiative. Leveraging its international platform and full-industry-chain advantages, the company will continue to invest in:

· High-quality healthcare system development;
