Recently, Foshan Fosun ChanCheng Hospital welcomed an international delegation of Russian medical leaders, marking a new milestone in cross-border healthcare cooperation between China and Russia. This high-level dialogue not only represented a deep handshake between the two countries’ medical sectors but also set the stage for a strategic partnership aimed at building a new blueprint for international medical collaboration. It signified a shift toward a more comprehensive and in-depth phase of China–Russia medical cooperation.

Eastern European healthcare powerhouses make a strong debut
The visiting Russian delegation brought together several leading figures in Eastern Europe’s healthcare industry, including:

Professionally, the delegation represented the entire ecosystem of overseas referral, operations management, and medical payment coordination, providing strong support for future project implementation and operational efficiency.
From Strategic Vision to Clinical Practice
During the visit, Mr. Frank Hu Hang, Chairman and CEO of Fosun Health, Chief Executive of Fosun Health Greater Bay Area General Hospital, and Chairman of Foshan Fosun ChanCheng Hospital, attended the meeting alongside Mr. Zhao Xiaodong, Vice President of Fosun Health, Executive Vice President of Greater Bay Area General Hospital, and President of Foshan Fosun ChanCheng Hospital.
Mr. Hu presented Fosun Health’s global strategy for strengthening cross-border healthcare capabilities, highlighting the group’s global perspective and resource integration strength.
Mr. Zhao remarked, “This in-depth dialogue with our Russian medical partners marks a key step in enhancing Foshan ChanCheng Hospital’s cross-border healthcare capabilities and expanding our global network. We look forward to fruitful outcomes in the near future.”

The meeting featured engaging discussions on the future of cross-border medical collaboration, with both sides exchanging ideas in a warm and constructive atmosphere.
The Russian delegation also toured several of the hospital’s key departments, including the Oncology Center, Orthopedics Center, and the International Medical & Insurance Service Center.
They were impressed by the hospital’s state-of-the-art medical facilities, standardized treatment procedures, and innovative multidisciplinary team (MDT) model. In addition, they held in-depth technical exchanges with department heads, discussing cutting-edge technologies, clinical cases, and future cooperation opportunities in a highly practical and productive manner.

Strengthen joint clinical studies and technological innovation in core specialties such as oncology and orthopedics.
3. Establishing a Talent Development Mechanism
Promote medical talent exchange through professional training, academic visits, and collaborative research.
4. Innovating Cross-Border Payment Solutions
Explore diversified payment models, including commercial insurance and international billing integration.
